It is with a heavy heart, full of love and respect, that we must formally announce the worst news we could imagine. Unfortunately we have lost not just an integral member of the Kaiju family, but a friend, a brother, and a Cornerman. Charles Juan Jeremy Perez is sadly no longer with us.
We delayed our announcement not only due to the deep mourning of the rest of the Kaiju Crew, but to ensure that his family were all informed and we wanted to ensure that it was handled with respect and dignity. He deserves nothing less. We are thankful to Charles for his years of service with us, and we are profoundly moved by all the outpouring of love for him.
It’s not often a life touches so many, but Charles was a wellspring of enthusiasm, passion, and a love of life that was simply unconquerable. His passing was sudden, unexpected, and there are no words to say that will make his absence feel any less unnatural at future shows moving forward.
We will include information to assist his family in bringing Charles home where he belongs. If you are unable to contribute monetarily, please consider sharing.
The only silver lining through this tragedy was that Charles was able to see through one of his lifelong dreams before passing. He was able to travel the world and share his love of life with his adoring fans in Japan.
Charles has always been someone who is willing to go the extra mile to make people happy, and he put a smile on every single face in the building when he performed as Dusto Bunny for the final time.
Thank you Charles, for everything you have given to this world. It is a better place for having you in it for as long as you were here. We only wish it was longer. You will forever and always be our Cornerman. ❤️💨🐰
