THE FINAL COUNTDOWN: An Interview with Referee Dundee

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN: Kaiju Big Battel Senior Official Referee Dundee prepares for retirement by working out, reviewing Kaiju rule books and sorting through photos of a long career in MAM (Monster Aggression Management).

He has been working hard as ever, as he gets closer to retirement, with his upcoming in-ring finale scheduled for 12/7, in Brooklyn, NY at “Invader Games.” Kaiju News Reporter Andy Bachell sat down with Dundee to see how he’s working to prepare for his final in-ring Fighto with KBB:

KaijuNews: “Referee Dundee, thanks for sitting down with us. You’ve kept the monster aggression under control in the ring for years. What’s your secret to surviving it all with your whistle intact? “

Referee Dundee: “In order to ensure survival I make sure that pre-fighto I fuel up on authentic Australian cuisine (deep-fried onions and Gin) and during the grueling fights, I usually get lost in a day dream about hunting giant crab spiders on long walks in the outback.”

Kaiju News: “When the final bell rings in Brooklyn, what’s next for you? Retirement to a tropical Island? Going back to College? Maybe writing a book?”

Referee Dundee: “Actually I am planning on writing The Unauthorized Autobiography of Referee Dundee, launching a legal battel that will lead to financial ruin, and taking Mahjong lessons until I’m skilled enough to compete professionally.”

Kaiju News: “We know it can get tough enforcing the rules in the ring. Do you remember any controversial calls, and do you still stand by them?”

Referee Dundee: “Surprisingly, no! All monsters have been very understanding of the call made, to the point where birthdays have been pretty profitable. Well, except for this one time where I had to call for a draw which led to a very tense round of Russian roulette. I still wonder what ever happened to ‘Call-Me-Kevin’…”

Kaiju News: :What is one final message you’d like to leave the Kaiju fans after all these years in the Kaiju Big Ring?”

Referee Dundee: “Thank you for the memories, presents, and snacks… it’s been an honor and your privilege! Good bye.”

Kaiju News: Thanks for your time Referee Dundee! We at Kaiju News are wishing you a great Fighto!
